Pilgrimage to Walsingham
On the 4th of September 2021, we had a pilgrimage to Walsingham organised by Mother Melangell: there were 18 people from our parish and 1 parishioner from Mettingham. The intensive pilgrimage day started with the 1-mile Holy Walk from the Slipper Chapel to the Church of St. Serafim of Sarov and continued with Akathist to the Mother of God (Icon of Our Lady of Walsingham) in the Orthodox Chapel of the Anglican Shrine. We then got Holy water from the Walsignham well, had a picnic in Walsignham Abbey Grounds and visited the Holy Transfiguration Church. Finally, we had Vespers in the same Orthodox Chapel and finished our eventful day with tea/cofee time in the skete of Mother Melangell.
